ASX 200 ends the week up 2.07% as an Iran de-escalation sinks oil; REITs lead, miners drag

The S&P/ASX 200 added 2.07% to 8,804.0 in the week to 12 June 2026. A late-week Iran de-escalation sank Brent 6.19% and the US VIX 17.81%, sending REITs and financials higher while gold, uranium and lithium miners filled the losers board. Steadfast jumped 30% on a $7.7b takeover bid.
