ASX 200 ends the week up 0.9% to 8,844 as a Neuren EU catalyst and a gold rally lift health care and miners
The S&P/ASX 200 finished the week to 3 July 2026 at 8,844.4, up 0.92%. Health Care (+5.64%) and the ASX gold sub-index (+5.25%) led after soft US June payrolls eased Fed rate-hike fears and lifted bullion to US$4,187/oz. Perpetual jumped 24.95% on an EQT takeover approach; Pexa fell 16.36% on an IPART draft ruling. US markets were shut Friday for Independence Day.
