ASX 200 to edge lower on 7 July as Wall Street's chip-led rally skips local sectors

US stocks rose on Monday on a narrow, chip-led rally, with AMD.US up 6.61% and the Nasdaq up 1.12%. SPI futures point the ASX 200 0.1% lower into Tuesday's open, the local index giving back after Friday's 1.37% gold-led jump. Gold held near US$4,178, iron ore sat at US$98.20 a tonne on China's Fortescue curbs, and the RBA cash rate stays at 4.35%.
