ASX 200 set to open 22 points higher as Waller's hold signal cuts Fed hike odds to 48.4%

Wall Street rallied on Thursday after Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he is inclined to hold rates steady in September, cutting CME hike odds to 48.4% and sending the US 10-year down 3.4 basis points to 4.762%. The S&P 500 rose 1.06%, spot gold 1.97% and iron ore 1.74%. SPI futures point the ASX 200 22 points higher, with APE.AU, ALD.AU, VEA.AU and ABB.AU trading ex-dividend and no local data due.
