ASX 200 futures rise 0.4% to 8,866 as US health care hits a record and the Dow gains 1.02%

ASX 200 futures rose 32 points, or 0.4%, to 8,866 by 7:40am AEDT on 21 October 2026. The Dow gained 1.02% to 52,495.88 as US health care closed at a record, while the Nasdaq was flat and NFLX.US fell 6.0% after hours on a soft revenue forecast. Brent eased 0.39% to US$109.12, gold fell 0.42% and AUD/USD rose 0.36% to 0.7007.
