Nasdaq futures fall 0.93% as Korea's rate hike broadens the chip selloff

Nasdaq-100 futures trade 0.93% lower at 29,415.75 after the Bank of Korea delivered its first rate hike in three and a half years, sending the Kospi down 6.37% and pushing a semiconductor selloff out of memory into equipment and foundry names. Dow futures hold +0.07%, a 100 basis point split. UNH.US trades 6.61% higher at $446.26 after second-quarter adjusted earnings of $6.38 beat the $4.85 consensus. June retail sales rose 0.2% to $768.6 billion and initial jobless claims fell to 208,000.
