S&P 500 ends week +3.58% at a record after July payrolls fall 23,000

US stocks posted their strongest week since April. The S&P 500 rose 3.58% to a record 7,757.64, the Nasdaq gained 5.19% and the Dow added 2.96%, after a July payrolls decline of 23,000 trimmed the odds of a September Fed hike to 44%. Technology led all eleven sectors at +7.20% while energy fell 3.44% on a 7.67% drop in WTI crude. VOYG.US led the exchange at +70.61% and TTD.US fell 23.50% to a seven-year low.
