US Pre-Market, 25 August 2026: Chips Rebound 2.3% Ahead of Nvidia Earnings
Nasdaq 100 futures lead the US pre-market at 29,379.75, up 0.94%, as semiconductors recover Monday's 2.70% fall in the PHLX Semiconductor index ahead of Nvidia's Wednesday report. INTC.US +3.29%, LRCX.US +3.16% and AMD.US +3.01% lead, while enterprise software sells off with INTU.US -2.49%. DKS.US is the largest single-name move at -19.02% after a Q2 miss and a full-year guidance cut. Crude fell 2.86% to US$82.58 and the US 10-year yield eased 4 basis points to 4.66%.
US Close, 25 August 2026: S&P 500 +0.32% as Biotech Offsets DKS.US -30.68%
The S&P 500 closed at 7,677.28 on 25 August 2026, up 24.42 points or 0.32%, as a 3.00% gain in biotech and a 0.94% rise in technology outweighed selling across retail. DKS.US fell 30.68% to $124.31 after a second-quarter miss and a full-year guidance cut, the biggest single-name decline of the session. Crude fell 4.59% to US$81.11 after new US sanctions on Iran landed lighter than markets expected, leaving energy last of the eleven sectors at -1.66%. INTU.US and ZM.US reported after the close.
