US Pre-Market, 26 August 2026: Intuit Guidance Sends Software Lower Before Nvidia
Nasdaq 100 futures traded at 29,235.75, down 0.14% at 8:35am ET on 26 August 2026, after Intuit guided fiscal 2027 revenue growth to 9% to 10% against 14% in fiscal 2026. INTU.US fell 9.73% pre-market and nine more software names followed. July core PCE held at 3.3% year on year in line with consensus while headline PCE printed 3.7% against a 3.6% forecast. Nvidia reports after the close.
US Close, 26 August 2026: S&P 500 Flat at 7,675.70, ANF.US +35.67% on Raised Guidance
The S&P 500 closed at 7,675.70 on 26 August 2026, down 1.58 points or 0.02%, as a 0.61% technology gain and a 1.09% industrials gain cancelled a 1.00% health care decline ahead of Nvidia's report after the bell. ANF.US rose 35.67% to $147.75 after Abercrombie & Fitch lifted full-year EPS guidance to $13.10 to $13.60 from $10.20 to $11.00. LLY.US fell 3.59% after Eli Lilly discontinued three pipeline programmes. Breadth split almost evenly, 128 of the 250 largest US listings up and 121 down. Nvidia reported $96.2 billion of revenue and guided the third quarter to $108 billion.
