Momentum
Technical AnalysisThe rate of change in a security's price. Strong momentum means price is moving quickly in one direction. Momentum indicators (RSI, MACD, Stochastic) measure this rate of change.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)
A momentum oscillator ranging from 0 to 100 that measures the speed and magnitude of recent price changes.
MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence)
A trend-following momentum indicator showing the relationship between two EMAs (typically 12 and 26 period).
Stochastic Oscillator
A momentum oscillator comparing a closing price to its price range over a set period (usually 14).
