ASX 200 set to open higher as Micron's beat lifts global tech, May jobs data due
Micron's after-hours beat-and-raise sent Nasdaq futures up 1.86% and S&P futures up 0.56%, setting the ASX 200 for a firm open near 0.2% higher. US 10-year yields fell 9bps to 4.40% and the VIX eased to 18.63, while iron ore near multi-month lows and softer crude weigh on the miners and energy. The May labour force report lands at 11:30 AEST, against an RBA cash rate of 4.35%.
ASX 200 falls 0.68% as miners, energy and banks weigh while healthcare rallies: 25 June 2026 close
The S&P/ASX 200 closed down 0.68% at 8,748.7 on 25 June 2026. Falls across the big-four banks (NAB -3.35%), iron-ore miners and energy outweighed a 2.56% healthcare rally. Judo Capital fell 40% after cutting FY26 profit guidance, and Worley fell 9.70% on a bigger earnings warning. Lower oil lifted airlines as Virgin Australia and Qantas rose.
