ASX 200 set to open 0.3% lower as a memory-chip selloff hits Wall Street tech

Australian shares are set to open 0.3% lower on 2 July 2026, with SPI 200 futures at 8,687 tracking a Wall Street session where a memory-chip selloff sent Micron and SanDisk down more than 10% each and the Nasdaq off 0.66%. Meta rose 8.81% and held the S&P 500 to a 0.22% loss. Gold, oil and iron ore all fell overnight and the AUD slipped to 0.6896, leaving resources and banks with a weak lead.
