ASX 200 set to open 0.85% higher near 8,898 as oil hits a six-week high; June jobs at 11:30am

SPI futures point to the ASX 200 opening about 0.85% higher near 8,898 after Brent oil hit a six-week high at US$95.73. Wall Street slipped on tech-earnings caution (Nasdaq -0.57%), with Alphabet down about 5% after-hours on a US$205bn capital-spending guide. June labour force data lands at 11:30am AEST, the RBA's next input before 11 August.
