ASX 200 futures down 68 points after the Fed lifts rates to 3.75% to 4.00% and US banks fall up to 3.96%

S&P/ASX 200 futures were down 68 points, or 0.8%, at 06:21 AEST on 17 September 2026 after the Federal Reserve raised its target range 25 bp to 3.75% to 4.00% and 16 of 18 officials projected another hike this year. The Dow fell 1.21% to 51,461.90 with GS.US down 3.96%, the US 10-year closed at 5.006%, AUD/USD fell 0.62% to 0.7090 and Brent settled 2.7% lower at US$105.83.
