ASX 200 futures fall 0.7% as two of the big four pull their RBA hike calls forward to September

ASX 200 futures fell 0.7% to 8,711 by 7am AEST after Commonwealth Bank and Westpac brought their RBA rate-hike calls forward from November to September. Markets now imply a 93% chance the cash rate moves from 4.35% to 4.60% on 29 September. Wall Street closed mixed on a triple-witching Friday: the Nasdaq rose 0.39% on semiconductor strength, the Dow fell 0.18%, and the US 10-year Treasury yield closed back above 5% at 4.998%.
